The under-slab drains have now been laid. Only 40 metres of rock had to be removed.

Well it has now been three weeks onsite and the rain has caused some delays. The site manager was hoping to have the Slab Stage completed last week but due to the weather not much has been done. However, we do have a skip, portable toilet and temporary fencing.

So fingers crossed next week they might start the Slab - if weather is permitting...

Much to our surprise Mike and I went to the block today and found that it had been excavated ready for the slab - YAY we are on the way. We expect to post pics next week of the slab :)

Building permit - really on the way now!

Ok so it may not seem like it but yes we are still building a house. Yesterday was a good day we received a copy of the building permit and confirmation that we will be starting to build in approx 2 weeks!!!!!!! phew - I thought it would never start - fingers crossed they start on time.

AND nearly one month later we have a tap!!! Pic to come...very excited (sad I know :P)

HOUSE FINANCE APPROVED

Got a call from the lovely bank lady today to say that the house valuation came back and the loan has been approved - Cairnlea here we come (yay) - Debt here we come (arghhh).
